Official Dinwiddie Records Routes
Dinwiddie uses a regional detention system. The Sheriff's Office may be relevant to a local arrest or Sheriff-held record, while MRRJ is the place to check present regional-jail custody and request jail-held material.

- For a person who may be presently held at the regional jail, try the official MRRJ Current Offenders roster. A no-result can reflect transfer timing, release, or another custody system and does not decide whether an arrest occurred.
- For a Sheriff-held existing record, use the Dinwiddie Sheriff's FOIA route. For MRRJ-held booking or incarceration material, use the MRRJ FOIA request route. Both offices apply Virginia FOIA's actual-direct-cost approach; neither publishes a fixed adult booking-photo price.
- For a court case after booking, use Virginia Online Case Information System (OCIS), then contact the relevant clerk. Dinwiddie GDC/JDR: P.O. Box 280, Dinwiddie Courthouse, VA 23841-0280, (804) 469-4533. Dinwiddie Circuit Court: P.O. Box 63, Dinwiddie, VA 23841-0063, (804) 469-4540.
- For someone sentenced to Virginia state custody, use the Virginia Department of Corrections locator. Its custody information is different from an MRRJ roster result.
- For federal custody, use the Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator. It is a federal locator, not an MRRJ or Dinwiddie booking-photo source.
- For immigration detention, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator System. ICE custody is separate from a local criminal booking, and its locator does not provide a photo field.
